8A Homework

  History quiz returned.  Math quiz today - many struggled - we reviewed this afternoon. Students can study this evening and they will have a chance to work on it tomorrow.  Science Test tomorrow - this is an open book quiz - we reviewed notes and organized folders last week Snack Shack on Weds. 

Math test on Monday - exponents, fractions, integers, scientific notation    History quiz was today - 5 students were away and they will complete on Monday Science quiz on Tuesday - this is open book - make sure your duotang is complete  Snack Shack on Weds.  Dead and Gone Novel due Thursday Finish research and point form notes for selected career 

History quiz tomorrow - Confederation - review has been completed - Review notes  Math Quiz on Monday - exponents, fractions, integers, BEDMAS Science Quiz on Tuesday - this will be an open book test - students were given time today to get their folders up to date - most used the time effectively - the test will be timed Dead and Gone Novel study is due next Friday - chapter questions Truth and Lies novel study - still missing assignments from 6 students - this is over a week late Fundraising cards were sent home yesterday - pictures of student art - they all looked amazing

History quiz on Friday - multiple choice on Confederation - completed a review yesterday and today Winnie the Pooh reading comprehension was returned today and students had an opportunity to talk in a group and redo Drama - began writing a script for a presentation on a selected career - props and costumes will be needed Math - integers, fractions, exponents, BEDMAS  School Fundraiser - Art Cards were sent home today - everyone did a wonderful job with their painting and the cards look great  

King City Secondary School Open House is tomorrow Nov. 21st from 6:30 pm. French - script due Thursday History Quiz on Friday - Confederation  Truth and Lies novel study quiz and assignment were marked and returned today. Please look for.  Dead and Gone Novel study due Nov. 30th  Math - fractions, integers, exponents, and BEDMAS - worksheet due tomorrow 

Many students did not complete the Truth and Lies novel quiz today - it must be completed on Mon. The novel study assignment is also due Monday - summary of the plot, new inportant characters and changes in setting.  Science lab on diffusion and summary of mitosis assignment need to be signed and returned.  Hit and Run novel study quiz and assignment need to be signed and returned. Slidehsow rubric - signed and returned.  Math - BEDMAS and integer sheet needs to be completed. Next week we will return to fractions and proceed to exponents and integers with fractions.  Third novel in the series has been assigned - Dead and Gone - complete the question sheet. There is no end of novel test - This will be due Nov. 30th. History - complete Confederation worksheet for Tuesday - many of you are already done.    

GRAD PHOTOS TOMORROW - WEAR A SHIRT WITH A COLLAR - WHITE IS BEST BUT A LIGHT COLOURED SHIRT WOULD DO. The plan is to finish before the end of Friday Truth and Lies novel was due Tuesday.   Grade 8 trip surveys are due today. Sign and return health quiz - this is already 1 week late - mising from 8 students History quizzes will be returned today. We are waiting for one student to complete. Hit and Run novel - first quiz was completed by everyone yesterday and they were sent home - signatures are needed and please return.           We are waiting for 3 students to complete the final test - Monday is the final deadline for that. The second novel - Truth and Lies has already been assigned - due Nov. 14th. There is an assignment and  T/F quiz due at the end of the novel. Slideshow on a Canadian Musician - presentations will begin next week - assignment sheet, rubric, and success criteria were porvided.   Science - watch the 3 videos posted on google classroom and answer the questions on the sheet provied.
